Exciting Team Bath Netball U21 and U19 squads all set to start 2021-22 NPL season with December double header in Nottingham

Team Bath Netball’s exciting U21 and U19 squads begin their 2021-22 Netball Performance League (NPL) campaigns this weekend with double headers at the University of Nottingham.

Both teams face Mavericks and Loughborough on Saturday (11th), with the U19s in action at 10am and 3.15pm and the U21s taking to the court at 11.45am and 5pm.

The U21 squad includes Molly Hole and Lily Jones, who are both in the Blue & Gold Superleague squad too. Hole captained England U21s to victory at last month’s Netball Europe competition, which saw Nia Evans and Charlotte Jennings-Evans in the leadership group for Wales.

They once again join Hole in the Team Bath U21 squad for the new season, with Kemi Afolayan, Meg Conabeare, Lauren Francis, Jasmine Nightingale and Jemma Nightingale also retaining their place from 2020-21. Stepping up from the U19s are Jones, Isabelle Claxton, George Ford, Amaya Herold, Isla May and Effie Robinson, while Victoria Booth and University of Bath students Poppy Tydeman and Daisy West complete the squad.

Team Bath Academy Head Coach Natalie Roddy and Superleague training partner Anya LeMonnier will share head coach duties and Vicky Carnall is team manager.

Giselle Burnett, Ellie Gabriel, Daisy Harrison, Charlotte Steer, Bella Valeur-adu and Ella Williams are once again named in the U19 NPL squad and are joined by Deni Agnew, Alice Clark, Esme Cornelius, Ife Danso, Ellie Ervine, Becca Hinkins, Fearne Maine, Lara Makin, Bryony O’Hare, Amirah Weightman-Dauda and a second player called Ella Williams.

Head coach Kara Gonzalez is assisted by Holly Duerden and Roni Peck is team manager.

Many of the players in both squads have developed their talent with the Team Bath Academy, which is supported by Haines Watts – the Blue & Gold’s principal sponsor – and has centres in every region of the South West. Click here to find out more.
