Molly Hole captains England U21s to Europe Netball title as Team Bath players also impress for Wales at senior and age-group level

Team Bath Netball’s Molly Hole secured her second winner’s medal in a fortnight as she captained England’s U21s to a successful title defence at the 2021 Europe Netball tournament.

Hole, who has been named in the Haines Watts-sponsored Blue & Gold Superleague squad for the 2022 season, was part of Team Bath’s British Fast-5 All-Stars triumph last month and had previously skippered the Roses to Europe Netball victory at U17 level in 2020.

She started at goal-defence during all three matches in the Isle of Man over the weekend as England beat the hosts 111-14, Northern Ireland 65-32 and Wales 63-32 to claim the trophy.

Sarie Watkins, who is part of the Team Bath Academy Development Centre in Bristol, started at goal-shooter for Wales in all of their matches. Blue & Gold U21 player Nia Evans was captain as they were edged out 37-33 by Northern Ireland, while University of Bath Sports Management & Coaching student Charlotte Jennings Evans started at goal-attack in a 63-30 victory over the Isle of Man.

As well as the U21 tournament, the National Sports Centre also hosted three senior internationals between the Isle of Man and a Wales senior squad featuring Team Bath Superleague star Betsy Creak.

She started at GA in the first two matches, which Wales won 76-24 and 85-26, before coming off the bench during an 82-29 victory in the third game. Former Team Bath age-group players Ella Powell-Davies and Shona O’Dwyer both won their first senior caps.

Betsy Creak and Molly Hole are both in the Team Bath Superleague squad that will be in action at the Team Bath Arena in 2022. Tickets are on sale now, click here to find out more.
