Team Bath and England defender Tash Pavelin to miss 2023 Netball Super League season through injury

England defender Tash Pavelin has sadly been ruled out of Team Bath Netball’s 2023 Netball Super League season after suffering an injury during training.

The talented goal-defence and wing-defence has unfortunately ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her knee and faces a lengthy period of rehabilitation.

Alicia John, Team Bath Netball Manager, said: “The whole Team Bath community wishes Tash the very best for a full recovery and offers its full support – we are thinking of you, Tash.”

Tash has firmly established herself as one of the country’s finest young defenders since making her Team Bath debut in 2018. She made her first Super League start during the curtailed 2020 season and was a regular in the starting seven during the 2021 and 2022 campaigns, helping Team Bath win silver and bronze medals respectively.

Her eye-catching performances earned the University of Bath graduate a place in England’s Futures Roses programme for 2022-23 and she made her senior international debut in November’s Fast5 World Championships in New Zealand. She had been named in the England A squad for this month’s matches against Wales, Jamaica and Scotland.

Team Bath are currently considering their options regarding an injury replacement for the Super League squad, with the 2023 season beginning in February.
