VIDEO: Watch the Blue & Gold family pay tribute to Team Bath Netball legend Jess Thirlby after last home game

It was an emotional evening at the Team Bath Arena on Saturday as the Blue & Gold family paid tribute to Jess Thirlby after her last home game.

Jess has been part of Team Bath for the past 20 years, first as a player – indeed she was the first player to join the elite programme when it was established at the University of Bath – and then as a hugely-successful coach.

During that time Jess has won a record five Superleague titles and last weekend helped guide Team Bath into a 13th semi-final in 14 seasons.

Following the superb 72-50 victory over London Pulse that secured a top-four place, a special ceremony took place on court to mark Jess’s outstanding contribution to the Blue & Gold over the past two decades.

You can watch it here:

Jess still has two more games to go, though, before she moves on – starting with the small matter of a semi-final showdown at Manchester Thunder on Saturday, May 11 (7pm). Click here for ticket information.
