The Team Bath Netball Player Pathway encompasses competitive squads that compete in the National Performance League (NPL) and additional Player Development Programmes (PDPs), aimed at supporting a wider group of athletes as part of the pathway (PDP groups will still have playing opportunities during the season).
Supporting the foundations of the southwest Player Pathway is a network of Athlete Development Centres, aimed at providing young athletes right across the southwest with direct access to our elite training environment, as they prepare for their next steps in netball.

Access to our NPL teams (NXT Gen/U19/U17/U15), our Player Development Programmes (PDPs) and our Athlete Development Centres are via an open trial process, underpinned by our selection policy (please click here to read).

TEAM BATH NXT GEN LEAGUE (U23)
Date of birth: 2003 and younger (opportunity of four older-age players, born before 1st January 2003)
U21s (PDP)
Date of birth: 2005 and younger
U19 (NPL)
Date of birth: 2007 and younger
SENIOR PDP
Date of birth: 2007 and younger
U17 NPL
Date of birth: 2009 and younger
JUNIOR PDP
Date of birth: 2009 and younger
U15 NPL
Date of birth: On or after 1st September 2010

Between the ages of 14 and 17
Trials process
Applications to trial for the 2025-26 squads are now closed (with the exception of the U15s, details of which will follow later in the year). All applications received before the deadline of 31st July 2025 will be assessed by our coaching team and invitations will be sent to those athletes who meet the criteria. Please do not attend a trial without an invitation.
The following trials are taking place at the Team Bath Sports Training Village:
- U17 +Junior PDP: Tuesday 2nd and Thursday 11th September, 6-9pm.
- U19 + Senior PDP: Thursday 4th and Friday 12th September, 6-9pm.
- U21 + NXT Gen: Friday 5th and Tuesday 9th September, 6-9pm.
