VIDEO: Blue and Gold looking to bounce back at Loughborough as first part of Superleague season concludes

Team Bath Netball will be looking to end the first part of the 2018 Vitality Netball Superleague season on a high note when they visit Loughborough Lightning on Saturday.

The match (centre-pass 6pm) is the last before the break for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and both teams will be without players who have already jetted off with England to begin their preparations for next month’s competition.

The Sitec-sponsored Blue and Gold, who are looking for an instant response to last week’s 60-51 home defeat to Manchester Thunder, are missing Eboni Beckford-Chambers and Kadeen Corbin, while Lightning – who edged out Surrey Storm 53-51 in their last match – are without centre Beth Cobden.

Here’s what Team Bath Head Coach Anna Stembridge had to say about the big match…

The Superleague season will resume at the end of April, with Team Bath’s first home match after the break coming against Celtic Dragons on Friday, May 4 (7.30pm).

That is one of six home games coming up for the Blue and Gold, including the rearranged fixture against UWS Sirens – it was snowed off earlier this month but will now take place on Monday, June 4 (7.30pm). All tickets for the original date are still valid, while remaining tickets are now back on sale.
