Join us for The Big #BlueAndGold Bash – celebrating our players, our pathway, our region and our fans

Team Bath Netball fans are being invited to a special end-of-season party which marks not just the conclusion of the inaugural NXT Gen League campaign but a year of resilience, resurgence and remarkable performances across the South West pathway.

The Big #BlueAndGold Bash – built around the final league game against Leeds Rhinos on Sunday 15th June at the Team Bath Arena – will feature on-court award presentations for six of Team Bath’s playing squads, from the U17s through to NXT Gen.

There will also be a chance to cheer on future stars when Team Bath U15s, stepping up their preparations for this summer’s National Tournament, take on their Leeds Rhinos counterparts in a curtain-raiser for that afternoon’s NXT Gen League finale between two teams vying for a top-three finish.

A fan zone featuring shooting competitions, photo opportunities and other activities will provide more entertainment and everything is included in the NXT Gen League match-day ticket, with the Arena capacity being doubled for the day to ensure more fans have the opportunity to join in the fun.

Lisa Pagett, Team Bath Netball Manager, said: “We cannot wait for the Big #BlueAndGold Bash and the chance to celebrate our players, our pathway, our region and our fans.

“It is fitting the celebration is taking place on 15th June as that marks one year since our last Super League fixture. There was plenty of uncertainty at the time surrounding netball, not just at Team Bath but across the South West, but the past 12 months have shown the passion, support and love for our sport right across the region is stronger than ever.

“We’ve had a record number of applications for our pathway over the past year – the 10 regional Athlete Development Centres; our U15, U17 and U19 Netball Performance League (NPL) squads; and the Junior and Senior Performance Development Programmes (PDP) – and some 300 netballers have benefitted from the expert guidance, on and off court, of our excellent coaches and support staff.

“It was important we ensured the fans could join in the celebrations too. They have really thrown their support behind us this year, particularly our NXT Gen League fixtures where tickets have been snapped up, and that incredible backing has ensured Team Bath Netball remain impossible to ignore.”

The Big #BlueAndGold Bash begins with the U15s match at 12.40pm. NXT Gen League squad members will be available for autographs and selfies from 2pm and centre-pass for the centrepiece fixture is 3pm. NPL and PDP end-of-season award presentations will take place at half-time and the post-match NXT Gen League awards will conclude a busy afternoon. More entertainment will be announced in the coming weeks.
