Team Bath Netball looking for instant response to Pulse reverse as they hit the road for first-ever NXT Gen League away match

Team Bath Netball head on the road for the first time this NXT Gen League season this weekend, looking for a quick return to winning ways following a first defeat of the 2025 campaign.

The Blue & Gold, who visit London Mavericks on Saturday 1st March (1.15pm), produced a tireless display in front of another capacity crowd at the Team Bath Arena on Friday but were beaten 56-40 in a physical contest by a London Pulse outfit bolstered by three members of their Super League squad.

Darcie Everitt and Gracie Smith both started in defence for the visitors, while former Team Bath player Sophie Kelly – who still studies at the University of Bath, where she is supported by a Bill Whiteley Sporting Scholarship – was among the replacements.

Hannah Passmore, another ex-Team Bath Super League shooter and sporting scholar, started in attack for Pulse, who came out extremely strongly and won most of the in-air contests as they opened up a 30-18 lead at half-time.

Team Bath kept fighting, though, and Welsh international centre Ellen Morgan – winner of the Most Valuable Player award – instantly made an impact off the bench, opening up the attacking end and putting in a huge amount of defensive work as the hosts won the third quarter 13-11.

Pulse were able to extend their lead in the final quarter but Team Bath’s players – who were roared on by the 600-strong crowd throughout – showed tremendous grit and determination, and will take plenty of learning from the performance and result.

Team Bath Netball are supported by Bath Building Society and Rengen Developments, who are both overall Team Bath Partners, and Bath Recreation Limited, who have recently committed to a three-year partnershipFlyhawk supply Team Bath Netball’s performance clothing and off-court apparel.
