Legendary names returning to Team Bath Arena as Blue & Gold host back-to-back Super League matches

Team Bath Netball will be looking for a positive response to successive away defeats when they play back-to-back Super League home matches on the next two Fridays.

Improving Leeds Rhinos are the first visitors to the Team Bath Arena on Friday 5th April (7.30pm centre-pass) and their squad includes England icon Geva Mentor, who was a key figure in Team Bath’s first Super League title success during the inaugural 2005-05 season.

Another member of that legendary squad will be returning to the Team Bath Arena on Friday 12th April as Jess Thirlby, now Vitality Roses Head Coach, is being inducted into the University of Bath Hall of Fame for Sport alongside former Team Bath and England coach Anna Stembridge ahead of that evening’s match against Cardiff Dragons.

Both matches start at 7.30pm and tickets are available now at netball.teambath.com/tickets.

Team Bath were beaten 60-44 in a close-fought fixture at Surrey Storm before succumbing to a 79-42 defeat to table-topping Manchester Thunder on Easter Saturday. The second period was well contested, 14-11 in Thunder’s favour to give them a 33-21 lead at half-time, but the second half was dominated by the home side.

Team Bath Netball is supported by Bath Building Society and Rengen Developments, who are both overall Team Bath Partners. Flyhawk supply Team Bath’s performance clothing and off-court apparel.
