Rengen to continue supporting Team Bath’s sport and fitness activities at all levels after agreeing three-year partnership extension

Team Bath and Rengen have today announced a three-year extension to their successful partnership supporting sport and fitness activities at the University of Bath.

A leading company specialising in student, residential and commercial developments and lettings, Bath-based Rengen – whose CEO is University of Bath alumnus Iestyn Lewis – has been an official partner of Team Bath since 2019.

During that time Rengen has supported Team Bath’s activities at all levels, from recreational and youth sport to student clubs and high-performance athletes. The backing also helped Team Bath’s fitness coaches deliver online classes during the Covid pandemic, providing the wider community with ways to stay active during lockdown.

Rengen provides additional support through the partnership for Team Bath’s Netball Super League squad and the University’s BUCS Super Rugby performance programme. The latter has particular significance for Lewis, who played for the University men’s 1st XV as a Structural Engineering student and sporting scholar before going on to coach them for several years.

“I am delighted that we will be working with Team Bath for another three years,” said Lewis. “My personal relationship with the University of Bath goes back three decades and I have extensive first-hand experience of the positive impact provided by its sport and fitness offering.

“We are proud, as a company, to be playing our part in facilitating an environment at the Team Bath Sports Training Village which supports everyone – from children developing a love for sport to students pursuing their athletic and academic goals, members of the local community enjoying a fit and active lifestyle to Olympic and Paralympic Champions.”

Stephen Baddeley, Director of Sport at the University of Bath, said: “We are excited to be continuing our partnership with Rengen. We have an excellent relationship with Iestyn and his team, and their support has been invaluable during the unique challenges we have faced during the past four years.

“We are proud of the sporting and fitness opportunities we offer but we are always looking to improve. We have exciting plans for the next few years and Rengen’s ongoing backing will help us continue to grow and innovate.”

Rengen, whose headquarters are based in Argyle Street in Bath city centre, has extensive experience in the development of boutique purpose-built student accommodation, residential accommodation and commercial units. Find out more by visiting rengendevelopments.com and rengenlettings.com.
