Team Bath Netball looking to end 2023 Super League season with “a performance we can be really proud of” at Loughborough Lightning

Team Bath Netball conclude their 2023 Super League season tonight as they started it – by taking on Loughborough Lightning in front of the Sky Sports cameras (7.30pm centre-pass).

The Haines Watts-sponsored Blue & Gold were beaten on the opening day by a clinical Lightning outfit but Head Coach Asha Francis hopes her players will be able to show how far they have progressed since then.

“We have absolutely nothing to lose and we definitely have an opportunity to just go out there and perform,” she told BBC Radio Bristol’s The Sports Store (click here to listen in full).

“Lightning will be looking for a performance that helps them go into the semi-finals with confidence so it will be difficult but even in our first game against them we had an exceptional quarter which we only lost by one goal.

“We have to go there with confidence to play with freedom and not shy away from the game but really attack it. I know we have it in us and the players are starting to believe it too. Regardless of the result we want to finish on a performance we can be really proud of.”

Training partners Annie O’Rourke and Lily Jones are in the travelling Team Bath squad, stepping up to replace the unavailable Summer Artman and Betsy Creak.

The game is being broadcast by Sky Sports, watch the live stream here:
