Medals and top-four finish cap impressive NPL season for Team Bath Netball’s age-group squads

It has been an excellent 2023 NPL league season for Team Bath’s age-group teams, with all of them either placing higher or matching their standings from the 2022 campaign.

Team Bath’s U21s ensured they would win bronze for the second successive year by beating Saracens Mavericks 57-34 in last week’s season-concluding event at the David Ross Sports Village in Nottingham.

That result meant they leapfrogged Central Warriors, who were beaten by second-placed Loughborough Lightning, to finish third overall with six wins from their nine matches.

The U19s matched that win ratio after beating Mavericks in their last match but narrowly missed out on third place after Warriors won their game too. Fourth spot out of 10 teams is still one better than last year for Team Bath, who have made impressive strides.

Team Bath’s U17s (pictured top) have also excelled during their NPL South campaign and secured silver medals in fine style last weekend by beating Mavericks 62-41 to finish second overall.

Natalie Roddy, Team Bath Netball Academy Head Coach, said: “It has been a great season and we have made big strides right across the programme. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and support staff.”

The Blue & Gold rising stars will have another chance to win silverware in the NPL knockout competition later this summer.
