Blue & Gold stars help England Netball head into Commonwealth Games year on a high with Roses Reunited Series win over Jamaica

Team Bath quartet Imogen Allison, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis, Layla Guscoth and Serena Guthrie helped England Netball record a Vitality Roses Reunited Series victory over Jamaica.

Guthrie captained the Roses and was joined in the starting seven for all three matches by Guscoth as England won 55-45 in the opening fixture at London’s Copper Box Arena and 66-47 in the second match at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena before the Sunshine Girls took the third contest 63-53.

Allison and Drakeford-Lewis both made impacts off the bench in the second match, which sealed the Series win, while former Blue & Gold players Stacey Francis-Bayman and Eboni Usoro-Brown were also in the victorious squad.

England will be back in international action in January as they start the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games year by hosting a Quad Series featuring Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, whose squad is likely to feature new Team Bath defender Phumza Maweni.
