Get ready for The BiG Showdown! Blue & Gold to stage six-club, two-day pre-season tournament in December

Team Bath Netball‘s annual pre-season tournament is returning in December – and this year it is bigger and better than ever.

Instead of the three teams of recent years, there will be SIX competing over two action-packed days in The BiG Showdown at the Team Bath Arena to be the first-ever winners of the Lyn Gunson Trophy – named in honour of the legendary coach and player-development guru who made such an impact with Team Bath and England.

The Blue & Gold will be joined at the tournament by fellow Vitality Superleague franchises Saracens Mavericks, Severn Stars, Strathclyde Sirens and Surrey Storm plus special guests Knights, the UK’s leading men’s netball team.

There will be 16 matches over the course of the weekend, nine on the Saturday and seven on Sunday, each comprising of four eight-minute quarters. Two points will be awarded for a win and the two teams with the most points after the round-robin matches will meet in The BiG Showdown final on Sunday at 3.45pm.

Day tickets are priced at £20 for adults, £10 concessions and £40 for a family ticket (two adults and two children or one adult and three children). There is a ten per cent discount for spectators buying tickets for both days.

Tickets for both The BiG Showdown and Team Bath’s 2020 Vitality Superleague fixtures are on sale now – click here for further details.
