Summer Test series awaits Blue & Gold defender Leila Thomas after latest Wales international call-up

Team Bath Netball defender Leila Thomas has been named in the Wales squad for their home Summer Test series against South Africa, Malawi, Trinidad & Tobago and Grenada.

Thomas, who has just completed her first season in the Blue & Gold, is among seven players with senior international experience in the 15-strong squad having competed at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The other eight players are all uncapped as Welsh Netball opt for a mixture of experience and youth as they start planning towards the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

All of the Summer Test matches are being played in Cardiff from July 4-10, starting with Wales against South Africa as they begin their Netball World Cup final preparations. Click here for ticket information.
