London Pulse to provide new opposition for Blue and Gold as teams are confirmed for 2019 Vitality Superleague season

Team Bath Netball will face new opposition in the 2019 Vitality Superleague season after London Pulse became the latest franchise to join the national league.

Pulse – who will play their home matches at the Copper Box Arena on London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (pictured) – will replace Team Northumbria, who have decided to withdraw from the ten team competition.

England Netball CEO Joanna Adams said: “London Pulse have enjoyed considerable success in the Netball Performance League over the last few years and we can’t wait to see lots of new talent on show.

“We are sure they will be keen to make their mark and be as competitive as possible in their first season and we know that the other sides will relish the challenge of facing a new team.”

The Blue and Gold will be bidding for a record sixth Superleague title when the competition returns in 2019. The other teams lining up will be two-times champions Wasps, Loughborough Lightning, Manchester Thunder, benecosMavericks, Severn Stars, Surrey Storm, UWS Sirens and Celtic Dragons.
