Team Bath Netball looking to build on strong foundations as returning stars are joined by exciting new faces for 2026 NXT Gen League

Team Bath Netball are ready to “hit the ground running” after announcing an exciting 17-strong squad of returning stars, experienced players and emerging talent for the 2026 NXT Gen League.
Twelve members of the squad that finished runners-up in the inaugural league campaign will return for the new season including the 2025 captain and vice-captain, Lily Jones and Lottie Robinson, and Welsh Feathers internationals Ellen Morgan and Poppy Tydeman.
University of Bath students Lucy Button, Becca Hinkins and Sienna Rutherford are back for a second season, as is recent graduate Ellie Ervine, while Daisy Collett, Daisy Harrison, Katherine Mansfield and Sophie Siffre will also be looking to build on their impressive performances from the last campaign.
Bringing vast experience and versatility to the Blue & Gold ranks is Lucy Herdman, who can play at either end of the court but is renowned for her long-range shooting prowess – as Team Bath fans will remember from her ‘wildcard’ starring role in the club’s 2021 Fast5 All-Stars triumph.
Wing-attack Lowri Windsor, who shone for Wales at the 2025 Netball World Youth Cup, is new to the Blue & Gold, as are dynamic young defenders Millie Burns and Sydney Sawyers, while attacking talent Saskia Lea makes the step up from Team Bath’s U21 Player Development Programme.

The squad will once again be co-led by Academy Head Coach Natalie Roddy and Anya Le Monnier, who is Student Netball Head Coach at the University of Bath and a former graduate of the Team Bath programme.
Roddy said: “We were incredibly proud of our achievements last season, particularly the second half of the year when we won seven of our eight matches, and we feel this squad can continue that momentum.
“The league was such an unknown entity last year and a huge learning curve but we got better and better as the season went on. I’m hoping that experience will stand us in good stead so we can hit the ground running. It is going to be very competitive and there are a lot of good teams out there but winning the title has to be the ambition.
“We’ve retained two-thirds of the players from last season, which provides us with a really strong foundation to build on, and we’re confident the talent we’re bringing in will compliment that group.
“For someone like Lucy Herdman to believe we’re the right place for her is a real compliment. She has extensive Super League experience and is incredibly versatile. She’s also worn the Blue & Gold before and understands culturally where we’re coming from.
“Lowri had a great World Youth Cup for Wales and has been selected as a training partner for the senior Feathers at just 18 years of age. She’s going to bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm, as is Saskia who did really well for us an U21 last season. The whole point of having a development group is to bring talent through and we’re delighted to see Saskia earn that step up.

“Millie is a very exciting defender with masses of potential and Roses Academy experience, while Sydney with her elevation and desire to hunt brings something different to the defensive group. We can’t wait to get working with all the players and see what they can achieve during the year ahead.”
Team Bath will begin their 2026 campaign with back-to-back Friday night matches at the Team Bath Arena against London Pulse on 23rd January and Nottingham Forest on 30th January (both 7pm).
All eight home matches are being played at the Team Bath Arena and season tickets will be available from Friday 24th October, followed by tickets for individual matches from Monday 27th October. Click here to see the full fixture list.
