VIDEO: Team Bath Netball secure silver medals in inaugural NXT Gen League season as The Big #BlueAndGold Bash goes with a bang

Team Bath Netball finished the inaugural NXT Gen League campaign with superb silver medals after producing an inspired performance against fellow top-two contenders Leeds Rhinos in front of a fantastic four-figure crowd at the Team Bath Arena.

The Blue & Gold knew they had to beat Rhinos by five clear goals, preventing their opponents picking up a losing bonus point, if they wanted to leapfrog their opponents into second spot.

Team Bath got off to a slow start but gradually found the form that had seen them win six of their previous seven matches to close the first-quarter deficit to 13-12 before pushing into a 27-22 lead at half-time.

With a 1,000-strong crowd roaring them on, there was no danger of Team Bath letting the momentum slip as dominant performances right across the court saw them open up a 42-33 lead during the third quarter before sealing an excellent 56-44 victory. Watch the highlights here:

The Arena capacity had been doubled for the decisive match, which provided the centrepiece to The Big #BlueAndGold Bash – an afternoon celebrating netball at Team Bath and across the South West. Among the special guests were three Team Bath icons – Eboni Usoro-Brown, Clare Elsley and Vitality Roses Head Coach Jess Thirlby – and Baroness Sue Campbell, Chair of the Board at England Netball.

Team Bath, who recorded victories over every other team in the league, finished the season with 11 wins and just five defeats from their 16 matches. They will look to build on those impressive performances during the 2026 campaign – sign up to our newsletter to get fixture and ticket information direct to your inbox when it is announced.
