Team Bath Netball overturn seven-goal deficit in fantastic final quarter to defeat London Mavericks on first NXT Gen League away trip

A stunning last quarter saw Team Bath Netball rally from seven goals down to beat London Mavericks 52-51 as their first-ever NXT Gen League away fixture provided plenty of drama.

The first half was evenly matched, with the scores locked at 14-14 after the opening quarter before Mavericks edged into a 28-27 lead at the interval.

The home side looked to have opened up a decisive advantage as they stretched the gap to 42-35 after the third quarter but Team Bath, determined to bounce back from a loss to London Pulse in their previous fixture, refused to accept defeat.

Inspired by a player of the match display from shooter Dani Carr on her NXT Gen League debut, Team Bath won the final quarter 17-10 – scoring the winning goal 20 seconds from time – to seal their third win from four matches, moving them joint level with Pulse, Manchester Thunder and Birmingham Panthers at the top of the table.

Thunder are the next opponents for Team Bath in a home fixture being played on Friday 21st March at Clifton College’s new Chellaram Sports Complex in Bristol. Centre-pass is 7pm and a limited number of tickets are available – click here to purchase.
