Double delight as Bath student netballers both win BUCS Premier Division South titles on same day

Students on the University of Bath performance netball programme are celebrating a first-ever BUCS Premier Division South title double.

A wonderful Wednesday at the Team Bath Sports Training Village saw the 1st beat Exeter 68-37 to secure the Premier South 1 title, then unbeaten Bath 2nds defeat UCL 59-27 to clinch the Premier South 2 crown with a match to spare.

It is the first year the student netball programme – led by Anya Le Monnier and sponsored by Bath Building Society – has had teams in both Premier Divisions and their success demonstrates the strength and depth of talent at the University.

Ten of the students have been selected in the Team Bath Netball squad for the 2025 NXT Gen League season, which gets under way next month, and several others are representing the Blue & Gold at U19 NPL and U21 PDP level.

Bath’s 1sts and 2nds will be targeting more success in the knockout stages of the BUCS season.
