Team Bath Netball announces new partnership with Hayesfield Girls’ School
Team Bath Netball is delighted to announce a new partnership with Hayesfield Girls’ School, strengthening the programme’s commitment to developing netball opportunities and inspiring young athletes across Bath and the wider South West region.
The partnership will see Hayesfield Girls’ School, in Bath, become one of the host training venues for Team Bath Netball’s Player Pathway squads during the 2026–27 season and beyond.
Beyond providing a high-quality training environment, Team Bath Netball and Hayesfield will work collaboratively to strengthen the profile of netball across the school, create meaningful opportunities for student engagement and inspire the next generation of players. Together, the partnership aims to build stronger connections between school and pathway netball, encouraging participation while creating clear and visible links to the Team Bath Netball player pathway.
To celebrate the launch of the partnership, Team Bath Netball NXT Gen players Sophie Siffre and Ellen Morgan visited Hayesfield to meet students and staff and mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for netball at the school.
The agreement also comes at an important time for Hayesfield Girls’ School, which is currently undertaking a fundraising campaign to raise funds to support the resurfacing of its netball courts. The improved facilities would provide a significant boost for pupils and school teams, helping to create a high-quality environment for training, fixtures and future development, as well as improving a community asset available for use by local teams and community groups.
Emily Siddy, Netball Manager at Team Bath Netball, said: “We are really pleased to be launching this new partnership with Hayesfield Girls’ School. Hayesfield has a long-standing commitment to sport and creating positive opportunities for girls to participate, develop and thrive through netball.
“Partnerships like this are incredibly important to us as we continue to build meaningful connections across the region and strengthen the connection from school and community netball through to pathway environments.
“We also fully back the school’s fundraising efforts to resurface their netball courts. Quality facilities play a vital role in giving young girls the best possible experience when being active with their peers, which plays a big part in keeping them active into their adult lives. Considering the challenge society faces with the high drop-off rates of girls taking part in sport and physical activity, it’s important that improvements like this are prioritised and we want to encourage anyone who can help to donate to the cause. We are excited to work alongside the school as they continue to invest in the future of netball.”
Gemma French, Head of PE at Hayesfield Girls’ School, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Team Bath Netball. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for our students and reflects our commitment to providing high-quality sporting experiences and developing netball at Hayesfield.
“Having Team Bath Netball use our facilities for Player Pathway training will help strengthen the profile of netball within our school and give our students a greater awareness of the opportunities available to them within the sport. We hope it will inspire more girls to get involved in netball and continue playing throughout their school years and beyond. We are looking forward to working with Team Bath Netball over the coming seasons.”
