Team Bath Netball seeking Thunder fillip in NXT Gen League after defeat on the road against Leeds Rhinos

Team Bath Netball are determined to get that elusive first win of the 2026 NXT Gen League season on the board when they host Manchester Thunder this week.

The match on Friday 13th February (7pm centre-pass) will be a return to their home arena following Saturday’s first away trip of the season to Leeds Rhinos.

The Blue & Gold were missing several players but once again produced some great passages of play during a well-contested match before eventually going down 53-45.

Lucy Button and Saskia Lea, Team Bath MVPs in their two opening fixtures, both made their first starts of the season as did Dani Carr, who was promoted from the NXT Gen Development Squad. Lowri Windsor, a Wales team-mate of Carr at the 2025 Netball World Youth Cup, also made her first appearance in the match-day squad.

Thunder are just a place above Team Bath in the early league table but will arrive at the Sports Training Village off the back of their first win of the year, a 62-44 victory over LexisNexis Dragons.

Tickets for the Thunder match, priced from £12 to £20, are available to purchase at netball.teambath.com/tickets.

Team Bath Netball are supported by Bath Building Society and Rengen Developments, who are both overall Team Bath Partners, and Bath Recreation LimitedFlyhawk supply Team Bath Netball’s performance clothing and off-court apparel.

Team Bath Netball starting combination: GK Dani Carr, GD Daisy Harrison, WD Poppy Tydeman, C Lucy Button, WA Saskia Lea, GA Lily Jones, GS Lucy Herdman. Impact players: Daisy Collett, Ellen Morgan, Katherine Mansfield, Lowri Windsor.
