Team Bath Netball duo in England squad for tour of Australia and New Zealand

Team Bath Netball’s Eboni Beckford-Chambers and Kadeen Corbin have been named in the England Netball squad touring Australia and New Zealand in the coming weeks.

Defender Beckford-Chambers last represented the Red Roses during the Vitality Netball International Series against Jamaica last year, while attacker Corbin – who confirmed her return to the Blue and Gold last month – has been on a training camp with England for the past four weeks.

Both are vastly experienced internationals and are looking forward to competing for their country once again as the countdown to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia begins in earnest.

Former Team Bath player Ama Agbeze will captain an England squad that features fellow Blue and Gold alumnae Sara Bayman, Stacey Francis, Serena Guthrie and Geva Mentor.

England will face Australia in Brisbane on August 26, then head to Auckland to face New Zealand on August 30 before completing the Quad Series against South Africa in Invercargill on September 3.

They will remain in New Zealand for a three-match Test series against the Silver Ferns, with the games being played on September 7, 10 and 13.

After that, Beckford-Chambers and Corbin will return home to represent the Sitec-sponsored Blue and Gold in the first-ever British Fast5 All-Stars tournament.

The fun, innovative competition featuring eight Superleague franchises is taking place at London’s O2 Arena from 5-10pm on Saturday, September 23 and tickets are available now – click here for full details.
