Team Bath Netball through to Superleague finals weekend despite last-day defeat at Wasps

Team Bath Netball have booked their place in the Vitality Superleague Final Four, despite seeing their winning run come to an end at Wasps Netball on Saturday.

Surrey Storm’s 71-63 defeat at table-topping Loughborough Lightning meant they were unable to take advantage of the Sitec-sponsored Blue and Gold’s 49-35 loss earlier in the evening.

The results on the final day of the regular season meant that Team Bath finished fourth overall, three points clear of Storm, after an inspired run of seven successive wins helped them recover from a mid-season blip.

They now progress to the end-of-season championship play-off and will face Lightning – who have lost just once in 2017 – in the semi-finals, with the winners meeting either Wasps or Manchester Thunder in the final.

All of the matches are taking place next weekend (June 10&11) at the new venue of the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham. Tickets are on sale at www.englandnetball.co.uk.

Team Bath Netball are sponsored by Sitec, Mogers Drewett are their Education Partners, Centurion Wealth Management are supporting the team’s performance analysis capabilities, Surridge are the kit supplier and Skins provide the team with compression wear.
