Team Bath Superleague stars earn England U21 call for Netball World Youth Cup

Team Bath Netball Superleague stars Imogen Allison and Jess Shaw have been named in the England U21 squad for this summer’s Netball World Youth Cup in Botswana.

Paige Reed has also been named as a reserve for the squad, which will be coached by Team Bath’s Emily Perry and Denise Ellis.

Both Allison and Reed are University of Bath students and are supported by King and Santander Sports Scholarships respectively.

The squad leaves for a holding camp in Pretoria, South Africa, at the start of July before heading onto Gaborone, Botswana, for the tournament which starts on July 8th.

Superleague training partner Abi Robson, who has represented the Blue and Gold in both the U19 and U21 Netball Performance League (NPL) competitions this season, has also been selected for the England U19 squad touring New Zealand from July 3-17.

Their itinerary includes competing in the 2017 Netball NZ U19 Championships at the ASB Sports Centre, Wellington between July 10-13.

Applications are now being taken for the University of Bath’s 2017-18 Sporting Scholarship programme – click here for more information.
