Sign up now – Team Bath Netball staging open trial for U21 team in August

Team Bath Netball are inviting aspiring players to an open trial for the 2016-17 U21 squad.

The Blue and Gold have a proud history of developing talented netballers to Superleague and international level, with the likes of Eboni Beckford-Chambers (pictured), MJ Church sporting ambassador Sam Cook and Mia Ritchie all having progressed through the Team Bath ranks.

Defender Alana John, who made her Superleague debut last season, and goal-shooter Paige Reed, who impressed with the Netball Performance League (NPL) development squad, are continuing that tradition after being selected for the England Netball U21 squads to tour Jamaica and Australia respectively during August.

The trial for next season’s Team Bath U21 squad is taking place at the University of Bath Sports Training Village (STV) from 10am-4pm on Sunday, August 21, and will cost £5 to attend.

Successful triallists will then be invited to attend a training weekend at the STV on September 3&4 before taking part in a four-day competition against other franchise teams in Worcester from September 7-11.

Players will be required to contribute towards the cost of accommodation and travel for the competition. Team Bath will also help to subsidise these costs.

To register an interest in the trials, email netball@bath.ac.uk by Monday, August 15.
