Team Bath 2015 Superleague tickets on sale now with some “must-see” fixtures still to come

Team Bath’s new-look Superleague squad are part-way through their 2015 season. The going has been tough so far with a run of home defeats after an opening win against Team Northumbria.

Coach Thirlby has the squad training hard as they seek to convert their fizzing individual talent into consistent and cohesive match-winning performances.

The Carter Jonas backed squad includes England defenders Sam Cook and Stacey Francis as well as Scottish captain Claire Brownie. Rachel Shaw, a rising England talent, is back after a long injury lay-off and excitement still surrounds the squad which is being watched by record crowds.

The fans play a vital part as the eighth player for the team and there are still some must-see fixtures, including two televised fixtures at home against reigning champions Manchester Thunder on Monday 23 March and Welsh franchise Celtic Dragons on Monday 31 March.

Team Bath, sponsored by Carter Jonas, have a proud history in this national, televised league having won the title five times before.

Team Bath’s fixtures for the coming season – the 10th year of the Superleague – were announced in the Autumn.

And Team Bath will complete the round-robin stage of the 2015 Superleague with a home game against Celtic Dragons on Monday 13 April.

Team Bath are the most successful Team in the history of the Superleague, winning five of the nine campaigns contested to date. They won the inaugural Superleague in 2006 and followed that up with victories in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2013.

Jess Thirlby, Team Bath’s head coach, said after the squad’s roller-coaster start:  “Rome wasn’t built in a day and I still believe that we will get better with every game and every performance”.

“Without doubt one of our greatest strengths as a franchise is our fan base. Our supporters are the best in the country and we hope they’ll be here in force to cheer us on for the second half of the league”.
