Team Bath players past and present dominate England squad

Past and present Team Bath players again dominate the England netball squad announced today (Thursday) to contest an Autumn International Series in South Africa next month.

Five members of Team Bath’s 2013 Superleague winning squad feature in the 12 – England captain Pamela Cookey, Kadeen Corbin, Stacey Francis, Serena Guthrie and Mia Ritchie. A further four players who have previously been based at Team Bath also feature in the squad, which will take on South Africa and Trinidad & Tobago.

The tour comes just after England tackle South Africa in a three-match series in England. The first of those fixtures takes place at the University of Bath Sports Training Village on Sunday 22 September. The game is already a sell-out.

Four of Team Bath’s 2013 Superleague winning squad will also be on England duty after the South Africa tour at the Fast5 World Netball Series in Auckland, New Zealand.

Stacey Francis will step up as vice-captain for the Fast5 competition with Kadeen Corbin and Mia Ritchie staying on as a member of the 10-strong squad. They will be joined by shooter Rosie Allison, who has just played for England at the World Youth Championships.
