Phase two of Superleague gets underway as Team Bath host Surrey Storm

Netball fans can expect an exciting feast of top-flight netball when Team Bath host Surrey Storm on Friday (16 March) as phase two of the Fiat Superleague gets underway.

Team Bath’s young netballers get an early opportunity to avenge last month’s defeat to Storm when the two teams meet again at the Team Bath Arena.

Storm ran out 65-52 winners in the earlier game in which Team Bath produced a spirited fightback after being slow out of the blocks in the opening quarter.

Team Bath head coach Jess Garland said: “We didn’t have the best of starts last time we played Storm, but then we drew with them for the next 45 minutes.

“We need to make sure we’re in games for as long as we can and then anything can happen,” she added. “We’re going into every game to win it – we’re not in the top-four to make up the numbers.”

Surrey Storm feature a number of players who developed their game at Team Bath, including England internationals Pamela Cookey, Rachel Dunn and Pamela Tamsin Greenway.

Meanwhile, young Team Bath Superleague players Yasmin Parsons and Sam Cook both featured for the England team that won the Netball Europe Under-21 tournament at the weekend. Parsons, who receives a Jeff Trendell Scholarship at the University of Bath,  captained the team to the title.

Netball fans can take advantage of a fantastic Team Bath Superleague ticket bundle offer.  If you buy tickets for all three phase two Team Bath home games before Friday 16 March you will get a reduced rate. An adult ticket bundle costs just £20, a £4 saving, while concessions can get tickets for all three homes games for £14, also saving £4.
