Team Bath netballers claim bronze at World Championships

Four University of Bath-based netball players featured in England’s triumph over Jamaica at the World Netball Championships in Singapore to claim the bronze medal.

After the break, the England coach introduced of University of Bath-based GD, Stacey Francis, who performed well and helped England to extend their lead to 52-36 at the end of the third quarter.  England maintained their dominance throughout the fourth quarter to secure a repeat of last year’s Commonwealth bronze medal match victory over Jamaica.

Bath-based GD Eboni Beckford-Chambers featured in the semi-final defeat to New Zealand alongside Serena Guthrie at WD.

Team Bath’s Asha Tett also featured for her country of birth and host nation for the tournament Singapore, who were eliminated in the group stage and finished 15th.  Tett is a University of Bath Coach Education and Sports Development graduate.
