Netballers face double header weekend

Team Bath aim to consolidate their play-off place by winning four points from their two Fiat Netball Superleague fixtures this weekend.

Team Bath, the reigning Superleague champions, are currently fourth in the table and need to finish fourth or higher to reach the end of season play-offs.

Their double header weekend gets underway on Friday (8 April) with a trip to Celtic Dragons. The Welsh side are currently sixth in the table and TeamBath ran out 50-40 winners when the two sides met in the reverse fixture at the University of Bath in February.

And Team Bath return to action at their Sports Training Village home on Sunday (10 April) when they host Team Northumbria. The pre-match entertainment gets underway at 3.15pm.

Jess Garland, Team Bath’s head coach, said: “We’re looking for consistent back-to-back performances at the weekend.

“I was pleased with our recent performance against Surrey. We showed some good control and discipline and reduced our error rate. Loughborough was disappoiting, so we’re looking to improve on the areas in which we weren’t that strong in that game.”
