Team Bath netballers prepare for international action

Five members of Team Bath’s Superleague squad feature in the England squad to take on the New Zealand Silver Ferns in the three-game Fiat international netball series that gets underway tomorrow (Saturday).

Pamela Cookey is England’s vice-captain and is joined by Sasha Corbin, Serena Guthrie, Eboni Beckford-Chambers and Stacey Francis in the 14-player squad. It also features four former Team Bath players.

A sixth current Team Bath Superleague player, Rosie Allison, features in England’s national long squad for the first time in 2011, but is not in the squad to take on New Zealand.

England play New Zealand in Manchester tomorrow (Saturday), in Nottingham on Monday (17 January) and in London on Wednesday (19 January).

Team Bath’s netballers open their 2011 Fiat Netball Superleague campaign with a trip to Team Northumbria on Saturday 29 January.

The four-times Superleague champions play their first home Superleague game of the season against Celtic Dragons on Thursday 3 February and then host Loughborough Lightning on Monday 7 February.
